Programs for Youth
BINGHAMTON UNIVERSITY OFFERS SELECTED PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH, some more academically based and others that are fun or teach a skill. These offerings change from year to year depending upon the requests from members of the community. In all courses, our instructors are highly qualified and are experienced in teaching the particular age group. Each program is developed with youth in mind so they will learn and have an interesting educational experience.
Girls Take Charge (90223)
Come join us for an action packed day focused on YOU and how females are taking charge, creating success and making a difference!
Spend this fun filled day with friends or make new ones as you meet girls from all over the Southern Tier area for this energizing day and build key skills for success. Topics covered include defining your personal leadership style, life map for future success, and risk taking.
Keynote speaker will be Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, elected in 2004 to represent the 126th Assembly District which includes the City of Binghamton and the Towns of Vestal and Union. In 2009, she was elected First Vice-Chair of the Legislative Women’s Caucus.
