Course Details
Come join us for an action packed day focused on YOU and how females are taking charge, creating success and making a difference!
The day will be packed full of exciting events, engaging workshops and women leaders as guest speakers sharing their insights.
Spend this fun filled day with friends or make new ones as you meet girls from all over the Southern Tier area for this energizing day and build key skills for success. Topics covered include defining your personal leadership style, life map for future success, and risk taking.
New topics this year for high school participants include:
- evaluating personal skills and traits
- decision making
- effective communication
Binghamton University’s “Smart is Cool” Society, the first Smart is Cool Society to be chartered on a college campus, will be facilitating some of the days topics. Finish the day participating in “Project Yesway” working in teams to design an inspirational product.
Keynote speaker will be Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, elected in 2004 to represent the 126th Assembly District which includes the City of Binghamton and the Towns of Vestal and Union. In 2009, she was elected First Vice-Chair of the Legislative Women’s Caucus.
Ana Henao and Erin Darby, dynamic NY City designers and founders of DTXT and the SIC Movement, return this year to speak.
The program fee is $59.00 for the entire day including the workshop materials, and lunch.
The program is co-sponsored by Binghamton University’s division of Continuing Education & Outreach and Learning to Lead, Inc.
